Welcome, Band Parents!

If you have a student in any Stratford Band, you're already a Band Booster member!

New to the program? You're not alone — there's a lot to learn, and this page covers the questions we hear most from new parents.

Get Involved

The #1 piece of advice from veteran band parents: attend Booster Club meetings and stay active. It's the easiest way to keep up with everything happening in the program.

What Is the Booster Club?

The Booster Club is a parent-, family-, and community-run organization that keeps the band program running — financially and physically. Fundraising covers costs the program couldn't otherwise afford, and volunteers make the shows happen: moving equipment, building props, chaperoning, working concessions, and serving on committees.

Without parent support, there is no show.

Stay Connected: BoosterHuB

For real-time updates, join BoosterHub. Look for an invitation in your email. Follow the steps to join. BoosterHub is the all-inclusive platform we use to run our booster club in order to provide communication and a calendar of events, as well as manage volunteer sign-ups, event ticket sales, and accounting.  When you create a profile account, BoosterHub will keep track of all payments, purchases, and sign-ups. We will also be utilizing BoosterHub in addition to direct emails to send announcements throughout the school year.

Uniforms

Summer Uniform

  • Khaki shorts (must meet school dress code)

  • Band shirt (two provided each year; extras available via the online Swag Store)

  • White socks and white tennis shoes

  • Students provide their own shorts, socks, and shoes

Performance Uniform

  • Core uniform (bibbers, jacket/top, hat, plume) is included in band fees

  • Students purchase marching/dance shoes (~$60) and black socks/tight-fitting shorts to wear underneath

  • Color Guard students may also need gloves, a track jacket, and jewelry

  • Kathy's Enterprises visits during band camp for measurements and ordering details
